An international edition is a textbook that have been published outside the US. These books are usually significantly cheaper than textbooks published in the US. Offering tremendous value, international edition textbooks are created to be sold in different regions and are often printed on cheaper paper and are usually softcover. The content may be the same as the U.S. version, or may have differences such as the book cover, ISBN, pagination, or region code.
Customers located in the US can now purchase international edition textbooks. However, note that the publishers of international editions generally do not authorize the sale and distribution of international editions in Canada and such sale or distribution may violate the copyrights and trademarks of the publishers of such works.
Generally, the textbook will state “International Edition” or “Low price edition” on the cover or included with the publication information inside.
To make finding textbooks easier, and to show you your purchasing options, booksellers must clearly state that the copy they are offering is an International edition.
Booksellers are required to state in the book description that the textbook is an International Edition. Also, to make them easier to spot in search results, we’ve flagged them with an ‘International Edition’ icon and replaced the stock photo with a globe ‘International Edition’ image.
If you come to AbeBooks from a search engine, such as Google or Bing, or from a price-comparison site, such as BookFinder or Addall, we strongly recommend that you verify the details of the book before ordering, particularly if your original search was by ISBN.

To be verify whether or not that copy is an international edition, click the See Details link below the price. If the book image on the next page is a gray globe, then the book is an international edition. There will also be an International Edition flag below the ‘Quantity Available’ and it will also be identified as such in the Description.
From a price comparison site, you may be taken directly to your AbeBooks Shopping Basket with the book already added. If this is the case, simply click the book title. If the book image on the next page is a gray globe, then the book is an international edition. There will also be an International Edition flag below the ‘Quantity Available’ and it will also be identified as such in the Description.
