The buyer’s credit card is charged only upon processing of the order by the bookseller. Occasionally the credit card can be declined. When this happens, you will see a notification message and the order status will update to “Credit Card Rejected.”
If you see this message, the order is cancelled – do not ship the book.
The book will be automatically re-listed for sale within a few hours.
AbeBooks automatically notifies the buyer by email and recommends that they follow-up with their credit card provider, check their saved credit card details for any errors, and then re-order the book.
