To recover your HomeBase 2.3 book data from a backup file, follow these simple steps.
- Open HomeBase.
- Click on [File].
- Select [Recover].
- You will see a dialog box asking, “Recovering data will overwrite all existing data in your database. Do you wish to continue?” Click [Yes].
- HomeBase 2.3’s BACKUP folder will open. The files will be named in the following format:
- HB20081028140640.bkp
- You can identify the most recent file by the date code in the file name. In most circumstances, you will want to recover the most recent backup file.
- Once you’ve found the file you wish to recover, click on it to select, then click the [Open] button.
- A progress bar will display, followed by ‘Recovery Complete.’ When done, click [OK].
- Choose whether you wish to have HomeBase auto-generate unique book numbers, [Yes] or [No], and then confirm your choice in the next window.
