Price Partner is an application built into HomeBase 3.2 that allows you to modify the prices of multiple listings at once. You can increase or decrease prices by a percentage or by an absolute amount.
To get started, in the Listings tab of HomeBase 3.2, use ‘Ctrl+click’ or ‘Shift+click’ to select the listings whose prices you want to change. Once selected, either right-click and select ‘Edit via Price Partner’ or click the Price Partner icon in the top toolbar.
At the bottom of the Price Partner window, the lowest and highest prices of your selected listings will be displayed, and will adjust as you make the following selections. Note the changes will not be saved until you click the [OK] button.
- By absolute amount: Enter the amount you want your prices increased or decreased by, i.e. 1.00, 1.50, 5.00, etc.
- By percentage: Enter the percentage amount you want your prices increased or decreased by, i.e. 5%, 10%, 15%, etc.
If you’re adjusting the prices of books at all the same price, you can also place your cursor in the ‘By percentage’ or ‘By absolute amount’ box and use your mouse wheel, or the up or down arrow on your keyboard, to adjust the amount – watch as the ‘Adjusted to:’ price changes. When it reaches the price you want, stop and click [OK]. If you go too far, turn the mouse wheel the other way, or use the up or down arrow on your keyboard, to correct.
If you use Price Partner to lower your prices temporarily for a sale, you can use the table below to help revert to your regular prices when the sale is over.
